Kingspan Group has been awarded Business Superbrand status for 2017 – the fifth time the building products manufacturer has earned the title.

Based on the survey results from 2,500 individual business professionals from across the UK, as well as the independent and voluntary Business Superbrands Council, the challenging process has been identifying the UK’s leading business-to-business brands since 2001.

Managed by The Centre for Brand Analysis (TCBA), nearly 1,500 brands were assessed for the three key attributes of quality, reliability and distinction.

Stephen Cheliotis, chief executive of TCBA and chairman of the Business Superbrands Council, described how the accolade is directly linked to how brands are perceived, and is an important signifier of the high regard each Superbrand is held in the UK: “A strong reputation is undoubtedly one of the key drivers of business success and growth, so those brands achieving Superbrands status can rightly feel pleased about their achievements and upbeat about their futures.”

Kingspan Group is a global manufacturer of advanced building envelope systems and solutions for the creation of high performing, energy efficient buildings.

As well as helping to reduce CO2 emissions through its products, the business says it works hard to minimise the environmental impact of its manufacturing processes and is on track to achieve a Net Zero Energy target across all of its facilities by 2020.

Kingspan says it engages closely with all stakeholders, from customers and employees to local communities and shareholders, and exemplifies the business case for practising the principles of sustainability.

Gene Murtagh chief executive of the Kingspan Group, commented: “Achieving Superbrands status is a real endorsement of our intention to be more than just a manufacturer of building products. We have demonstrated through our business model that a low energy future is not just desirable in combatting climate change, but also achievable and economically beneficial. Buildings today should be productive as well as functional. Our aim is to help architects, contractors and end users to realise this ideal, by providing training, research and expertise, so that they can get the most out of our products. We constantly work towards differentiation through innovation, and we are proud that our efforts have once again been recognized by our peers.”
