RGB customers give over 300 Christmas presents to Children’s Hospice

RGB Building Supplies is thanking its customers for donating gifts to its 2017 Christmas Present Appeal. All presents have now been given to Children’s Hospice South West to pass on to the children and families it supports.

Following a call out inviting customers to its branches to donate gifts suitable for a child of any age or their parents, over 300 gifts were placed under Christmas trees in RGB branches.

Naomi Dymond, corporate partnerships fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, commented: “We have been overwhelmed by the number of gifts donated by RGB staff and customers this year and can’t thank everyone enough for their very generous support. Christmas is a very special time, and this is especially true for the families we care for at our hospices. It’s thanks to the support of the community that we are able to continue to make a difference to families across the south west. Thank you, from us all.”

Jenny Naylor, human resources director at RGB Building Supplies, commented: “This is the second year we have run our Christmas Present Appeal and once again we have seen how generous our customers and the local community are. A huge thank you to everyone who donated; all the gifts will help to ensure families staying at one of the charity’s hospices over the Christmas period have a magical time.”

Children’s Hospice South West is RGB Building Supplies’ chosen charity and the builders merchant has been holding a number of fundraising events throughout 2017. The hospice provides care, ranging from respite and short breaks, to emergency and end-of-life care, for children and their families across the South West.
