Jewson takes to the road

jewsonJewson has set out on the Pro Build Training Tour to provide support for trade professionals with product updates, best practice installation methods and ways to ensure compliance with changing Building Regulations.

The free to attend events do not require registration, as attendees can simply drop-in to the Jewson Pro Build Tour vehicle when visiting a local Jewson branch. The tour begins today (November 12) between 8.00am -14.00pm at the Keysham branch before continuing until December 10, where the tour will conclude in Swansea.

Staff from Jewson and Greenworks will be hosting the tour, with the training vehicle featuring products from leading manufacturers. The first phase will include representatives from British Gypsum providing updates and demonstrations of the latest plaster and plasterboard solutions.

Jewson says it has long championed the benefits of continued education and training for trade professionals and apprentices. The builders’ merchant developed the information for the Jewson Pro Build Tour based on a high level of customer interest as well as the popularity of courses at the Greenworks Training Academy and market drivers.

Peter Young, project leader for the Pro Build Tour at Jewson, said: “As a merchant, we are in an ideal position to facilitate education and training, adding value for our customers. Whether you are an experienced trade professional looking for updates on product, methods and regulations or a young apprentice who requires a higher level of support, our new Pro Build Tour is designed to help.

“Finding time to attend training courses – and the money – can sometimes be difficult for many so the events are free to attend. Customers can stay for as little or as long they can – or need to. The Jewson Pro Build Tour will provide access to information alongside the chance to get stuck in with practical exercises. We thoroughly encourage customers to take advantage of the opportunity.”
