The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has launched its first Regional Centre of Excellence in Wales at ROCKWOOL’s Training Academy in Bridgend.

The launch coincided with the Centre hosting its first BMF Wales regional meeting, chaired by Richard Brian, managing director of Hughes Forrest. The Centre will also be used for training sessions for BMF members in Wales.

Speaking at the opening, Mark Bungay, national sales manager DIY & Merchants at ROCKWOOL, said: “ROCKWOOL is proud to be partnering with the BMF. At ROCKWOOL, we are fully committed to providing the very best in product training to merchants, both in branch and at the new training academy. We look forward to working with the BMF as we seek to educate and inspire the next generation of builders merchants to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing construction industry.”

Richard Jones, BMF Regional Manager, said: “As we have seen today, ROCKWOOL is providing the BMF with a superb facility which will be widely used by our members in Wales.”
