INCA-logoThe shortlist of external wall insulation (EWI) projects nominated for the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) Awards 2015 has been announced, with more than 20 projects spread across five disciplines as well as separate awards for sustainability and training.

The INCA Awards are intended to demonstrate the role of EWI in improving the energy efficiency of buildings, lifting households out of fuel poverty and transforming local communities. A record number of INCA members took the opportunity to enter the eight award categories covering projects in the non-residential and domestic sectors, training, sustainability and outstanding achievement, which is new for 2015.

The judging panel – consisting of industry experts from AgilityECO, BBA, Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), CoRE, Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and EAE – singled out the high level of technical excellence achieved on the diverse range of projects which have helped to improve living standards and contributed to wider social benefits.

Gearóid Lane, chief executive of AgilityECO and chair of the judging panel, said: “We were extremely impressed by the standard of entries this year which demonstrates the outstanding work being delivered by the EWI industry. INCA members are uniquely placed to deliver the highest quality standards for their clients and continue to use EWI to transform homes and businesses across the UK. Congratulations to all the shortlisted companies – a great achievement against strong competition!”

The winners will be revealed at the black-tie INCA Awards Dinner 2015 on Thursday October 8 at 8 Northumberland in central London, which will be attended by around 300 guests from across the construction industry.
