LRWA announces its first industry awards

The Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA) has announced it will host its first ever industry awards, the LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner. The event will take place at the prestigious Hotel Football, Old Trafford in Manchester, on November 8, 2017.

LRWA members including liquid waterproofing manufacturers, contractors and suppliers to the liquid industry are invited to attend with guests to recognise the quality, professionalism and the finest workmanship and dedication to one of the fastest growing sectors of the roofing industry.

To celebrate the best in liquid roofing and waterproofing, the award categories will include ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year over 1000m2’ and ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year under 1000m2’. The diversity of liquid waterproofing will be recognised with applications such as podium decks, car parks and balconies in the ‘Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year Award’ category.

The event will also see a ‘Trainer of the Year’ and ‘Student of the Year’ crowned on the day, as well as recognition for an individual or company that has made a special contribution to the liquid roofing and waterproofing industry.

The event has been spearheaded by recently appointed and the first CEO of the LRWA, Sarah Spink (MIoR).

Commenting on the upcoming celebration, Sarah said: “We are absolutely delighted to be hosting the first LRWA Awards & Gala Dinner in what is set to be an absolutely fantastic day. The event will not only help raise the profile of liquid waterproofing, but celebrate the achievements of flat roofing contractors, liquid manufacturers, suppliers to the market and those training to become part of the industry. It’s important we recognise their hard work, commitment and success in a place where we can all come together, network, and have a good time.

“We’re welcoming all LRWA members to invite guests along to celebrate with us at Hotel Football – which is a must-see destination for anyone.”

Hotel Football is located directly opposite the world famous Old Trafford stadium which is home to Manchester United football team. Footballing legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville are directors and founders of the £23m, 133-bedroom hotel.
