4eco director takes home national gold at The StartUp Awards

4ecoJodi Huggett, director of renewable technology company 4eco, has been crowned the winner of the Women in Business award at the 2014 StartUps Awards.

Held at the end of November at Kensington Roof Gardens, London, the national ceremony celebrates the successes of Britain’s up-and-coming brands, as well as the country’s most influential business leaders and entrepreneurs.

According to 4eco, the judges recognised Ms. Huggett for her outstanding commitment to the renewable energy sector and her passion and drive to further grow the 4eco business, despite suffering with a rare form of cancer since co-founding the firm in 2012.

Seeing the cleantech company grow from four to seventeen staff in just over two years, as well as manufacturing over 20,000 units for environmentally-friendly properties across the globe, 4eco says Jodi has helped to bring self-consumption of renewable energy to the masses. Now in remission, Jodi aims to take this success further, growing her team and production facilities in Lincolnshire, as well as spearheading a national campaign to set the standards for renewable technology safety and performance.

She said:

“Taking home gold at this year’s StartUps Awards is a huge honour. As well as being a glowing reflection of 4eco’s continued success in the renewable technology sector, it showcases the innovation and prowess that young businesses have to offer.

“I’m really looking forward to 2015, building on 4eco’s continued growth, this award win and our global expansion plans.”
