BRUFMA appoints new chief executive

brufmaThe British Rigid Urethane Foam Manufacturer’s Association (BRUFMA) has appointed Chris Hall as chief executive officer, who took up the post on January 5 2015.

With a career in the construction industry spanning more than 30 years, including two senior posts at member companies Recticel and Quinntherm, BRUFMA says Mr. Hall brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the organisation, and is tasked with developing the association to ensure that all members flourish and can benefit from its activities.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Hall said:

“I’m tremendously pleased to have been appointed as CEO at BRUFMA. I look forward to developing the association and enforcing it as an organisation that peers respect and that members feel is a worthwhile investment in both funds and resource.”

“The polyisocyanurate (PIR) / rigid polyurethane (PUR) insulation industry is in a strong position to continue to develop as the GB and associated markets continue to show growth. New applications and new emergent market segments in RMI provide fertile and rich opportunities for the members and associates.

“There are challenges ahead but the PIR industry, with the assistance of the BRUFMA organisation, will be well placed to meet those challenges head on.”

Mr. Hall previously held the position of sales and marketing director at Quinn Building Products in the UK, and prior to that he held senior positions both in the UK and overseas for Rockwool and other associated construction product manufacturers.

BRUFMA membership comprises all of the major companies in the PUR and PIR foam industry in the UK, including manufacturers of finished PUR and PIR foam products, suppliers of the various raw materials and associated services.
