Delvemade appoints product manager following move away from Itac

Delvemade has appointed Tom Armitt as product manager following its move to become an independent subsidiary of Itac in 2014.

Mr. Armitt joined his family’s business Itac in 2012, becoming the first person in a fifth generation to do so. He spent two years at the company working as an operator at shop floor level and in the factory observing the processes involved in the manufacture of Delvemade products Seamsil, Delcote and Delglaze, amongst many others.

Manchester based Itac is an independent adhesive and coatings manufacturer and helped Delvemade to develop its patented silicone external repair system for cut edge corrosion on profiled plastisol / PVDF coated steel roof sheeting.

The decision was made in 2014 that Delvemade would become independent of Itac in order to create new opportunities within the business. Mr. Armitt’s new role involves business liaison and product facilitation with Delvemade distributor, Giromax. He will also take an active role in promoting and delivering Delvemadeʼs CPD road-show seminars to RICS and RIBA members, as well as other specifiers and students. Having studied a masters degree in drama and education, Delvemade believes Tom’s teaching qualifications and experience should pay dividends in this area.
