Saint-Gobain employee is a ‘Future Leader’

Saint-Gobain’s advocacy co-ordinator, Daniel Harris, will lead the research and innovation work-stream for the Confederation of British Industry’s (CBI) Future Leaders Group.

The Future Leaders Group, consisting of members under 35 years old, will devise a set of recommendations that can be used to help the construction sector collaborate more effectively in order to challenge real-world issues.

Daniel, who has worked for the Saint-Gobain for three years, is one of 19 industry experts in the group and is looking forward to chairing the research and innovation work stream.
Daniel commented: “I’m excited to work with this forward-thinking group to explore the role that innovation and research can play in construction. I’m particularly interested in how smart construction can offer practical solutions to common challenges.

“Smart construction methods can potentially improve productivity, improve sustainability, maximise user benefits and minimise the whole life cost of a building. We’ll be identifying whether there are barriers to this and will be making recommendations based on what we find.”

The group’s recommendations will be shared with industry players and the CBI’s Construction Council.
