EJOT UK has announced two appointments within the business. Mark Newell takes the key role of sales engineer within the ETICS and insulation division, and James Uttley joins the company as site service technician on the national site testing team.

Mark has been tasked with further developing the company’s EWI focus throughout the UK. His role will take in day to day liaison with ETICS system manufacturers in the UK, as well as developing opportunities with potential new customers. Key to this will be liaising with EJOT Group’s head office in Germany – developing and dealing with those international ETICS manufacturers who have UK-based operations.

Richard Bowhay, sales manager for EJOT Building Fasteners, said: “Mark brings over 18 years’ experience in the construction industry, initially as a building technician before moving to a UK-based ETICS system manufacturer where he progressed to a regional sales management role. We see this level of knowledge as an ideal platform to reinforce our existing presence in the sector.”

EJOT says it designs and manufactures fastening solutions globally, for multiple sectors – predominantly construction and automotive. In the UK its product range is said to encompass all of the key application areas for the modern building envelope.

Mark said: “With my experience in ETICS, it seemed a logical step for career progression to take on this role. Also, having been aware of the quality of the company’s product offering for some time, it felt a good fit for both myself and for EJOT. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

James Uttley

James, who now lives in York, brings with him some interesting experience which ranges from personal trainer, to hospitality, to support care. He also spent considerable time working on construction sites providing the perfect grounding for his new role.

EJOT says it provides a wide range of in-site support ranging from pull-out testing to data acquisition for critical fixing applications. As one of only seven full members of the Construction Fixings Association, EJOT says its on-site testing capability is constantly expanding, and James says he is excited about the challenge ahead: “The reason that I pursued the position so actively was due to the new challenges and skills the job offers and the start of a career in such a well-established company.”
