SSQ slates specified for military project

ssqSSQ is providing more than 150,000 of its Del Carmen Ultra slates for use in the refurbishment of the roof at the Royal Military Academy, Surrey.

The overall contract – worth an estimated œ1.5m – is set to be completed by 2017, with the first slates due to be installed early in 2015.

SSQ says its Del Carmen Ultra slate was chosen to help update the look of the building without compromising its traditional aesthetic, providing a ?first class feel’.

The slates come complete with a 100-year guarantee to help provide added peace of mind.

Haroun El-Helw, head of marketing at SSQ Slate, said:

“We’re delighted to be involved in such a prestigious project and are confident that the slates will not only look great but will also meet the durability requirements laid out at the specification stage.”
