The Forum of Private Business is calling on the Government to clarify the direction of the Brexit negotiations as Parliament begins to scrutinise the EU Withdrawal Bill.
After months of negotiations and no significant progress, the Forum has expressed its concerns for those businesses on which the economy most relies.
Ian Cass, chief executive of the Forum of Private Business, said: “While in Parliament the ‘Exiting the European Union Select Committee’ is looking over the legislation labelled the ‘Great Repeal Bill’, small businesses are increasingly concerned about the lack of clarity and direction of the overall negotiations.
“Many of them understand that they will have to adapt to the changing circumstances associated with Brexit, but an idea of the direction of travel would be welcome.”
