CLC announces 11 more Construction Zero business champions

The public body the Environment Agency has become the first client organisation to join the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) CO2nstruct Zero programme, along with 10 other business champions the CLC has just announced.

The other new business champions are:

  • AESG
  • Benfield Timber Buildings
  • EvoEnergy
  • Galliford Try
  • Henry Brothers
  • Kerridge Commercial Systems
  • Osborne
  • VolkerWessels UK
  • Xtratherm
  • Zed Pods

Commenting on the development, Owen Tarrant, Environment Agency programme manager and CO2nstruct Zero business leader, said: “We’ve set the goal of reaching net zero by 2030. Construction accounts for over half of our annual carbon emissions per year and we are already reducing this through nature-based solutions and new tools and technology.

“Our involvement with the CO2nstruct Zero initiative is a great opportunity to collaborate across the industry and share our progress to help facilitate the country’s shift to low-carbon infrastructure.”
