A Covers Timber & Builders Merchant staff member has raised £1,250 for Cancer Research UK after organising a Christmas raffle.
Internal sales team member, Gareth Young, organised the raffle in support of a close friend, who is sadly suffering from cancer.
Covers’ suppliers contributed a variety of prizes, including a wooden gate and a darts board. Raffle tickets were available to customers and staff in return for voluntary donations.
Gareth said: “I wouldn’t have managed to achieve this fantastic target without the support from our generous customers, staff and suppliers. It has been a tough year for everyone, so to receive as many donations as we have is outstanding.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our industry and grateful to my manager at Covers for making it all happen.”
