Cromar Building Products has announced the acquisition of Acrypol Products for an undisclosed sum.
This is the first acquisition for the East Yorkshire-based company that turns over £27 million. By acquiring the ‘original’ waterproofing repair brand, this is going to mean a big boost for Cromar Building Products.
Acrypol Products was founded in 1986 with a mission to provide quality roof repair and waterproofing products for the trade, beginning with just the one product Acrypol+.
As its flagship product it is not only recognised as the quality benchmark, but it is sold into more than 2,000 stockists throughout the UK.
The portfolio of products was expanded over the years to include complimentary products such as Tech Seal and Metal-Kote in order to fulfil the growing customers’ demands.
Mike Marshall, managing director of Cromar Building Products, said: “Acrypol is such a renowned name within our industry, it will make an excellent addition to the existing Cromar family of products. We are really looking forward to developing the Acrypol brand name further and consulting with the Acrypol specialists to develop even more great roofing products for the trade.
