Dudley’s Aluminium secures Dorset Police project

Dudley’s Aluminium its teaming up with Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd to support the creation of a new headquarters for Dorset Police at the force’s Winfrith site.

The project is the third police headquarters that the fabricator has worked on in three years, having successfully completed Gwent Police’s headquarters in Cwmbran and South Wales Police’s headquarters in Bridgend.

The project will include a 30,000ft2, three-storey Grade A office building incorporating a contemporary mixture of glazed curtain walling and facing brickwork.

The headquarters is also being designed to the BREEAM ‘Very Good’ sustainability standard and will include air source heat pumps and an array of photovoltaic panels.

Dudley’s will install Metal Technology System capped curtain walling, doors, and manual and automatic windows, in addition to automatic entrance doors.
