Insulation distributor etag has marked its 20th anniversary with the appointment of a new CEO and commercial director to “provide the perfect foundation to kickstart an ambitious growth strategy”.
Tony Taylor has joined the business as CEO, with 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. He spent 20 years with Saint-Gobain in roles such as category director, regional managing director for London and the South East, and managing director of the business’ Local Merchant Group.
Newly-appointed commercial director Emma Hoten-Pool has joined the business with an extensive commercial background in the construction supply sector, focusing on strategic growth, operational improvements and data-driven marketing for numerous builders’ merchant firms, as well as utilities, manufacturing and e-commerce businesses based in the UK and Europe.
Emma’s most recent appointment was as the strategic markets director for Radius Systems, where she led the redesign and management of category, marketing and business information teams to drive product development for the UK’s gas and water distribution networks.
Following the recent appointments, etag has outlined an ambitious growth strategy, which it says will further elevate its relationship-focused business strategy.
Tony said: “etag has transformed significantly over the last 20 years, driven by our ability to efficiently adapt to what our customers need. etag started out as a fixings business, but today our product range is far greater, meaning we can do so much more, for so many more partners in the industry, while remaining true to our roots.
“Going forwards, we’ll put even greater focus on being the complete systems provider our customers rely on, evolving our value proposition to continually serve the industry’s needs and make their lives easier.”
“Combined, our knowledgeable and passionate colleagues, strong customer relationships, vast product range available from our suppliers and our well-established presence in the supply chain to the UK’s major cities, the Republic of Ireland and Northern Europe are the perfect recipe for our business to grow exponentially.”
Emma added: “etag has 20 strong years of history behind it, but we have always had one eye on the future. Now more than ever, we’re looking ahead to understand what we can do to enhance our business and become the most trusted, dynamic and credible partner for both suppliers and customers – a business that gets the job done.”
