Heightsafe, the Work at Height specialists headquartered in the Wirral, has announced the addition of eight new members to its team. These strategic hires are in response to industry demand for its safe Work at Height expertise.
The family-owned business, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, employs over 60 team members across its nationwide offices. With the addition of further industry specialists in Health & Safety, Roofing & Cladding, Rope Access and Compliance to its team, Heightsafe is continuing to improve the safety of personnel who are working at height.
Statistics from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) show that falls from height continue to be the UK’s biggest workplace killer. The HSE’s latest report on workplace fatalities unveiled that in the last year 40 workers have lost their lives due to falls from a height, representing a 14% rise from 2017.
Supporting over 12,000 clients in diverse industries including construction, transport, infrastructure, agriculture, education and leisure, Heightsafe is focused on raising awareness, educating and encouraging employers to make Work at Height a safe and secure activity.
Commenting on Heightsafe’s growth Ken Diable, managing director and Founder of Heightsafe, said: “Our culture is one of passion and excellence – reflecting the truly vital work our team undertakes every day to ensure that people are safe at work. One death as a result of Working at Height is too many. With the latest figures representing heartbreak for forty families who have lost loved ones as a result of a fall at work, the impact of workplace fatalities is devastating.
“That’s why we seek colleagues who are truly driven to make a difference and make work safe, supporting them to grow and succeed in their roles. We are proud to have been accredited as Investors in People and owe our ten years of success to the hard work, dedication and expertise of our team.”
