Next month, the international roofing industry will converge in Edinburgh for the 67th IFD Congress & Awards on 25-28 September. Senior members of national trade federations, contractors, manufacturers and consultants will be attending the annual event of the International Federation for the Roofing Trade (IFD), whose members represent 18,500 contracting firms and over 135,00 employees, with a £22bn turnover.
This year’s Congress and Awards will feature an exhibition and evening networking event, organised by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC).
Co-located at Edinburgh’s Radisson Blu Hotel, which is hosting the Congress, the special one-off ‘Congress Exhibition’ on 26-27 September will showcase the best roofing products and services the UK has to offer to this international audience.
Meanwhile, the Traditional Evening will give guests exclusive access to Edinburgh Castle, where they can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy an evening of food, networking and traditional entertainment. Guests on the evening will include senior international decision-makers and key influencers, representing both private contractors and federations.
James Talman, NFRC chief Executive, said: “As the UK’s largest roofing federation across all disciplines, NFRC is passionate about promoting UK roofing to the rest of the world. As the UK renegotiates its trading relations following the vote to leave the EU, this is a rare opportunity for companies looking to enter new markets and to re-establish themselves in existing ones, to meet senior decision-makers from EU countries China and the US.”
