Juniper Training to exhibit at RCI Show 2024

Juniper Training has made a significant impact on the roofing industry, having successfully supported over 110 roofer apprentices through its renowned Roofer Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard. This accomplishment earned Juniper the prestigious title of National Construction Apprenticeship Provider of the Year 2024 alongside the delivery of it’s employer led pre-apprenticeship provision.

The pathway is aimed at giving school leavers exposure to industry via tasters in each discipline, employer visits, manufacturer demonstrations, English and maths delivery, training to obtain site ready qualifications such as manual handling, asbestos awareness, abrasive wheels and working at height, in addition to undertaking a quality work experience placement with an employer – prior to progressing onto their apprenticeship.

The excellence of Juniper’s training provision is reflected in the achievements of its apprentices. They have consistently been recognised with top industry awards, including the BMI Apprentice of the Year for two consecutive years, the YouthBuild Apprentice of the Year, and the NFRC Young Roofer of the Year, among others. These accolades highlight Juniper’s commitment to developing skilled professionals who excel in their field.

Juniper Training offers robust support to employers looking to enhance their current workforce or bring new talent into the roofing sector through apprenticeships and commercial NVQ delivery. Apprenticeships can be fully funded, with employers also being potentially eligible for incentives of up to £9,000 per apprentice. Additionally, the CITB Travel to Train Grant provides support for travel and accommodation costs, making it easier for employers and apprentices to participate in the programme.

A standout feature of Juniper’s apprenticeship provision is its impressive 100% pass rate for those who reach end-point assessment. The programme focuses on key disciplines including Sheeting and Cladding, Slating and Tiling, and Waterproof Membranes Installation. Training is conducted at Juniper’s bespoke training facility in Walsall, with off-the-job training provided one week out of every five via roll on/roll off intakes. For apprentices needing additional support in maths and English, Juniper offers dedicated training to ensure all-round development.

The Roofing sector has been pivotal to the success of the provision and we’re truly grateful to the employers, manufacturers and trade associations that support us.

Whether you are looking for a new entrant within your business via apprenticeships or are an experienced worker in need of NVQ upskilling, Juniper Training is equipped to meet your needs. Juniper will be showcasing their provision and support for employers at the upcoming RCI Show.
