Mitie has been awarded the Gold standard in this year’s Safety in Roofing Awards. Run by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC), this is the seventh year in a row that Mitie has been awarded Gold by the UK’s largest roofing trade association.
Aimed at promoting health and safety amongst NFRC member companies, the annual awards celebrate companies that demonstrate excellence when it comes to health and safety. The NFRC recognised that Mitie has comprehensive health and safety procedures in place, complies with relevant codes of practise, carries out ongoing training and achieves a consistently low accident rate.
The award underscores the dedicated effort made by Mitie to promote a positive health and safety culture, through initiatives like the award-winning ‘Work Safe Home Safe!’ campaign, which encourages employees to consider the long-term effects of their actions in the workplace.
Ian Village, managing director of Mitie Roofing, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Mitie Roofing and we are proud to receive this prestigious award for a seventh year in a row. The award demonstrates our absolute commitment to safety and it also highlights the positive steps we have taken to reduce accidents and improve the safety and wellbeing of our employees.”
