MKM Building Supplies is opening a branch in Newark, creating 15 new jobs in the area and bringing the total number of branches to 83.
The site based at Stephenson Way on the Brunel Drive Industrial Estate is designed to be a one-stop-shop for both local building trade and retail customers, offering a wealth of industry expertise and an extensive range of products and services.
The branch will also offer a building take off service and a brick matching and delivery service, utilising a new fleet of HGV and 3.5 tonne delivery vehicles.
MKM Newark is headed-up by branch director, Bill Burroughs, who brings a wealth of industry expertise to the role.
Speaking about the new branch, Bill said: “Newark is a thriving market town and there is an incredible amount of building projects in the area – from newbuild estates, repairs, maintenance and extensions. We are keen to support the local trade with their projects.
“I have recruited a fantastic team of 15 people with a combined knowledge of over 200 years in the industry! My ambition is to establish the best builders’ merchant in the area, promote the MKM brand name, and grow a fantastic new branch with a great team serving a growing amount of customers to enable us to be successful and profitable.
