MKM has launched its ‘100 Good Deeds’ campaign, which will see each of its 100 branches carry out a good deed locally to mark the milestone of opening its 100th branch this year.
The sheer number of good deeds being carried out include supporting local food banks, hospices, primary schools, the air ambulance, children’s and health related charities, the RNLI, community trusts and more.
This works in tandem with MKM’s unique business model of each branch being run independently, which ensures that decisions to support charities and projects are made at a local level, by the local MKM team that know their area best.
Nicola Ollett, head of marketing at MKM, said: “It’s really important to MKM and our staff that we support local good causes and give back to the communities where we have branches, employ staff and serve customers.
“The 100 Good Deeds campaign is another fantastic community initiative that we are proud to be launching.
“These local acts of kindness will include anything from supporting charities that are close to the hearts of our people, supplying materials for community schemes, or dedicating time to local projects that are making a real difference.
“We’ve been at the heart of the community ever since we opened our first branch in Hull, in 1995. As the business has grown from one to one hundred branches, this commitment and dedication hasn’t changed.”
