New sustainability report reveals landmark achievements by Knauf Insulation

knaufKnauf Insulation has launched its fifth sustainability report since the company established its 2020 sustainability mid-term aims. In addition to achieving zero waste to landfill for all four of its UK manufacturing plants in 2013, the company has reduced its energy use by 14% and cut its CO2 emissions by 12%.

Tony Robson, chief executive of Knauf Insulation, said:

“We are at an important mid-point in this sustainability journey and I am exceptionally proud of what we have achieved. As a company we are continually expanding into new territories but thanks to the hard work of everyone at Knauf Insulation, we continue to be on track to achieve our 2020 goals.”

The report used interviews and case studies to describe the company’s key achievements and by talking to homeowners and installers, the report also examines how renovation saves energy and money.

Mr. Robson added:

“Our fifth sustainability report is quite different, with more detail than ever about our sustainability progress. But our message remains timeless. Now more than ever, it’s time to save energy.”
