Rhino Products has marked the next step in its ambitious European expansion plans by opening a distribution centre at Venlo-Grubbenvorst in The Netherlands.
This 1.100sq m warehousing facility is now the headquarters for the group’s European operations, alongside an existing warehouse in Mölnlycke, Sweden and a further sales office in Kraków, Poland. All manufacturing for the group takes place at its UK head office and production site in Deeside, Flintshire.
The move to the distribution centre also coincided with Rhino switching to DPD as its central European logistics partner and has allowed the company to offer its customer base faster delivery times. All orders being dispatched to the Benelux region and Germany will be sent on a next day service, while deliveries to the rest of Europe will arrive within two to three days.
Steve Egerton, Rhino’s group managing director, explained: “The distribution centre represents another step on the company’s journey to become the world leader in commercial vehicle accessories. We have invested over one million euros in this site, and we look forward to continuing our growth in Europe.
“The opening of this warehousing facility is just one of many important steps we are taking to prepare for any potential scenario as the terms of Britain’s exit from the European Union are finalised. Whatever the political outcome, Rhino will be ready, and we are looking forward to another year of growth and expansion.”
