Russell Roof Tiles will be donating £6,000 to various charities, as part of its 12 days of Christmas community programme.
The roofing tile manufacturer said that staff across its three sites in Burton-on-Trent and Lochmaben nominated 12 local good causes, which will each receive £500.
Andrew Hayward, managing director at Russell Roof Tiles, said: “2020 has been an extremely difficult year, but charities have gone above and beyond to deliver their essential services in the face of the pandemic and all the restrictions that came along with that.”
The charities being supported include: Burton Hope, which delivers food parcels, Burton Albion Community Trust (BACT), the charitable arm of Burton Albion Football Club, D&G Handyvan, which specialises in carrying out ‘odd-jobs’ for the elderly, infirm or those with dementia around Lochmaben, and Cafebridge in Andover, who supports the homeless and vulnerable across the county.
Russell Roof Tiles is donating to the following charities:
- Burton Hope
- The Bridge
- Dryfesdale Lodge
- Burton and District Mind
- Castle Loch
- Burton Albion Community Trust
- D&G Handy Van
- Derek’s Tree
- Age UK Staffordshire
- Donna Louise Hospice
- BURTON BLOOD BIKES

The company already donated £2,000 each to Derby and Burton Hospitals Charity and Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Endowment Fund in October this year.
Since 2015, the company has raised £80,000 by the support of customers, suppliers, friends, family, and staff at its sites.
Andrew concluded: “I believe as a good corporate citizen it is our duty to support the local community and these amazing organisations that go above and beyond to assist with wider area in need.”
