SIG Roofing has opened a new branch in Carlisle to serve the wider Northwest and the Dumfries and Galloway area.
The site, headed up by branch manager Richard Whittington and assistant branch manager Grant Kelton, will be holding a Customer & Supplier Open day in mid-May with key manufacturers showcasing their products.
The move to expand the branch network is part of new managing director Chris Lodge’s ambition for growth within SIG Roofing. Building on the success of the ongoing company strategy, the new branch leverages the strength of the SIG network with the power of local knowledge.
Commenting on the opening, George Stewart, regional director for SIG, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time at SIG Roofing, with the new Carlisle branch representing a significant step in our customer-first strategy.
“With plenty of projects coming through from the local authority in Carlisle, new build projects, and reroofing work, it’s the perfect opportunity to better service a growing area. Previously we’ve supported the area out of Blackpool, Gateshead, Melrose and Glasgow but these are all significant journeys away. Opening a branch in the heart of Carlisle really gets us closer to our customer.”
