The Institute of Roofing (IoR) has launched a new brand identity as part of its commitment to modernise and revitalise, following the appointment of its new chief executive officer (CEO), Stuart Hicks last year.
The rebrand reveals a transformation in the colour identity of the IoR with a new logo, and follows the recent relaunch of the Institute’s website.
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the IoR’s new look follows a wave of developments in 2020 that underpin the Institute’s goal of achieving chartered status.
CEO of the IoR, Stuart Hicks, said: “I made it clear at our AGM in 2019 that we needed to make some big changes to help cement our place within the UK roofing sector. This new, graphic identity will not only give us a new logo, but it will ensure a more professionally presented organisation to the outside world.”
The rebrand is just one of many new developments for the Institute, as it also relaunched its Associate Course in January, as well as providing a comprehensive set of updated online training courses, six of which have also now been recognised as part of the NFRC’s RoofCERT accreditation programme.
Stuart continued: “Despite our current situation with COVID-19, we have managed to achieve some key goals to modernise the Institute. Alongside the new training courses, revamped website and fresh brand identity, we are also making headway in our goal to achieving chartered status in what is a measured, step-by-step process. We have changed the management structure of the IoR, modernised our constitution and rules, updated our membership criteria and improved our member benefits.
“We’re also working more closely with other training providers, federations and sector associations, and created the first-stage pathway to professional qualifications to help and encourage participants to achieve their highest level.”
Stuart concluded: “This is our 40th year and we wanted to carve a new direction for the Institute, as well as create a new look. By modernising and driving our strategy forward, it will benefit not only our members, but the wider roofing industry for years to come.”
