Three new companies have joined the Metal Cladding & Roofing Manufacturers Association (MCRMA) as members.
Building envelope design and detailing specialist AbiCAD, independent global construction and property consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB) and Powell Gee, a supplier of fasteners and fixings to the roofing, cladding and rainwater industries, have signed up for the membership status.
AbiCAD is an established provider of CAD design and detailing services (including material schedules) for the building envelope.
RLB is an independent global construction and property consultancy providing management and advice throughout the built environment. It offers a range of services to support clients and the supply chain in the building envelope sector.
Powell Gee is a component manufacturer which moulds, powder coats and adds washers to a variety of building envelope fixings and, through its additional manufacturing facility in Birmingham, also provides the construction industry with hook bolts and gutter brackets.
Clare Fenton, chair of the MCRMA, said: “We’re delighted to welcome AbiCAD, RLB and Powell Gee as members and we look forward to working with them to ensure they maximise the benefits of membership. All three companies are renowned for their respective expertise so they will no doubt make a valuable contribution to member discussions and proposals regarding best practice, future standards and skills development.
“As our latest new members demonstrate, the breadth of knowledge and expertise within the MCRMA’s membership makes being a member of the association extremely valuable. Collaboration and competency will define the next era of construction, and this makes it all the more important to have a diverse membership to share and develop knowledge, as well as support the MCRMA in providing CPDs and training that can help ensure everyone complies with future requirements.”
