Torsion Group appoints new COO and MD

Development, construction and real estate management business Torsion Group has appointed David Worsley as its new chief operating officer (COO).

Over the last six years, David has been responsible for assembling the development of over 3,200 PBSA beds and 1,150 Residential Apartments. He has generated more than £710m of capital, including institutional and private equity.

As COO, David will now focus on identifying future key development opportunities, securing large-scale funding, and negotiating joint venture partnerships to continue place-making and deliver the wider Torsion Group business plan.

He will also support the relevant business managing directors in delivering their growth and business improvement plans within Torsion Developments, Torsion Construction, Torsion Homes, and Luna Students.

With David’s move to COO, Ed Wootton takes on the responsibility of managing director for Torsion Construction and Torsion Developments, providing a continuation in the smooth running of both businesses whilst injecting his passion for the future sustained and prolonged successful delivery of their schemes.
