Three members of staff have been recognised for achieving a combined 45 years of service at Russell Roof Tiles.

David Brookes, Justin Charlesworth and Terry West have been working at Russell Roof Tiles since 2004. In recognition of their loyalty and commitment to the roof tile manufacturer over the last 15 years, the three were each presented with special Long Service Awards and £250 cash each.

The trio are all operatives at Russell Roof Tiles, working in various areas across the business which has a site in Lochmaben and two sites in Burton on Trent. 61-year-old David, who also lives in Burton, began working with Russell Roof Tiles in the quality department, before moving into the resale division of the business. 46-year-old Justin, from Swadlincote, Derbyshire, works on the production line in the paint department, while 47-year-old Terry, also from Burton, works in the yard, operating fork lift trucks.

Celebrating and supporting significant staff milestones is just one initiative designed by Russell Roof Tiles to reward and support its 100 hardworking employees across its three sites.

The long service awards were launched in 2015 to recognise and celebrate those who have been with the company for more than 10 years. In 2019, 13 employees will be presented with awards ranging from 10 to 30 years.

Andrew Hayward, MANAGING DIRECTOR at Russell Roof Tiles presented the awards to the trio. He said: “It is important to not only recognise our team’s achievements and successes over the years, but to also say thank you for their loyalty.

“Having previously been awarded Employer of the Year by Burton Mail, Russell Roof Tiles has introduced a number of initiatives over the years to both support and celebrate our staff. They also benefit from an Employee of the Quarter scheme, a dedicated in-house training centre and exciting charity events throughout the year. We look forward to being able to continue rewarding and celebrating our hardworking staff.”
