Vivalda Group, the supplier of non-flammable rainscreen cladding, has launched a new business to supply UK door manufacturers with aluminium door panels.

The £40 million turnover company is aiming to set new standards in product quality, innovation, and delivery in the door market, which is eager to embrace new competition.

With its 20 plus years in the cladding sector and longstanding knowledge of the door and glazing industry, Vivalda believes it is ideally placed to provide improved panel quality and a more consistent delivery service to door brands in the UK.

Craig Matson, regional director of Vivalda, is leading the new division, which has the full backing of its parent company. “With around half a dozen of our senior management coming from the door and window market, we know that window manufacturers are keen to establish new partnerships with potential suppliers – but before now, we simply weren’t in the position to help,” said Craig.

“In 2019, Vivalda acquired MSP and Prism based near Glasgow – respectively a well-regarded fabricator and fully accredited powder coater. Suddenly, we had the capability, knowledge, contacts, and vision to create Vivalda Composites.

“We want to bring new standards to the market and create a genuine alternative for installers looking for suppliers who share their culture of service, reliability and innovation.”

Given its manufacturing capability, all Vivalda door panels will be fabricated using 1.5mm aluminum sheet as standard. Every door will be reinforced using a fibre cement board to give added strength and stability. Furthermore, every door incorporates returned edges, eradicating paint flaking and improving product security.

As Vivalda owns the complete manufacturing and delivery supply chain, it is confident that this business model will enable it to bring new levels of innovation and quality to the door industry.

Initially marketing a range of 12 different door panel designs, Vivalda plans to broaden this offer once the products become established in the market. Thanks to its longstanding association with PPC suppliers such as Akzo Nobel (Interpon) and Axalta (formerly DuPont), Vivalda Composites can offer a wide range of colours, all of which are powder coated to Qualicoat standards for improved quality and durability.
