Voting heats up in Britain’s Best Cafe competition

In the last edition of Roofzine, we called upon your support to help the cafes entered in Britain’s Best Cafe 2017 in their quest to win the coveted award. Now, the competition is heating up, with over 4,000 votes already made.

Organised by SIG Roofing and supported by its 120+ branches across the UK, this year’s competition sees over 500 cafes vying for the title. It is anticipated the competition will match, and even surpass, last year’s total of 20,000 public votes.

With the competition more hotly contested than ever before, it is important that the cafes continue to gain every vote they can if they are to stay in the running. SIG Roofing have been supporting the cafes to do just that and are encouraging customers to place a vote for their favourite whilst in branch.

SIG Roofing marketing manager Janine Brady commented: “As part of the competition to find and recognise the UK’s favourite cafes, we know that many of the roofers and contractors who use our products visit the same cafe on a daily basis so we are working with our branches to support their local cafes and their own customer’s favourites.”

This year the cafes and SIG Roofing branches are having a bit of fun on social media with the Britain’s Best Cafe selfie frame – with cafes up and down the country posting pictures showing their customers and staff enjoying themselves whilst placing their all-important votes! Pop into your local cafe and snap a selfie or visit Facebook or Twitter to see what’s happening in your local cafe.

When voting closes at the end of September, 14 regional winners will be invited to a presentation lunch in London where the national titleholder will be announced and collect their prize of a holiday to the stunning Caribbean island of Cuba.

Every vote counts and anyone wishing to vote for their local favourite café can visit their nearest SIG Roofing branch or vote online at www.britainsbestcafe.co.uk
