The Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA) has secured a headline sponsor for its 2018 awards, which will take place in Liverpool on November 7.
Following the success of the inaugural LRWA Awards and Gala Dinner in 2017, Westwood Liquid Technologies will be backing this year’s event, which will be hosted at the Titanic hotel in Liverpool’s Stanley Dock.
More than 200 guests are expected to attend to celebrate the outstanding workmanship and technical excellence across the fastest growing sector in the flat roofing market.
Speaking about the company’s support for the awards, Gary Hemmings, managing director of Westwood Liquid Technologies, said: “As the latest figures show, the liquid-applied waterproofing sector is growing rapidly and that’s resulting in a vast range of impressive projects and new products, supported by skilled contractors and trainees.
“As proven by last year’s event, the awards are an excellent opportunity to showcase these successes, so we’re proud to be pledging our support and showing our commitment to the flat roofing industry.”
Sarah Spink, chief executive officer of the LRWA, added: “Last year’s event was incredibly well received. The strong attendance highlighted that it’s really important for us to provide a platform, which enables our members to champion the quality, professionalism and dedication that runs through the industry.
“With the support of Westwood Liquid Technologies and other sponsors, it’s fantastic that we’re in a position to replicate this again in 2018, so we’re really grateful for their generosity and sponsorship.”
The LRWA Award categories for 2018 will remain the same, including ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year over 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Roofing Project of the Year under 1000m2’, ‘Liquid Waterproofing Project of the Year Award’, ‘Trainer of the Year’, ‘Student of the Year’, and recognition for an individual or company that has made a special contribution to the liquid roofing and waterproofing industry.
The awards will be open for entries from Monday April 2.
