Whitesales, now incorporating Lareine Engineering, has appointed Ashley Childs as a contracts manager to its projects team to support customers on projects in the south of England.
Ashley started his working life as an installer in 2000, where he gained the knowledge and insight into rooflights that he says could only be acquired by having fitted the units themselves. He has been a contracts manager for the past seven years.
Ashley said: “I personally believe that ex-installers always make the best contracts managers. Having done the job myself, I’ve got a really good understanding of what you need for a truly trouble-free installation and what pitfalls to look out for. I’ve worked with all the well-known brands in the industry – and some of the not so well known – and I know that that you need more than just a quality product to guarantee that a project will be a success.
“The big advantage of the Whitesales incorporating Lareine’s range of rooflights is that of course quality is guaranteed, but you also get the reassurance of a large stockholding, fast delivery, design and technical guidance and practical, onsite support from the contracts team. That’s a great combination and I’m really excited to be part of the team.”
