Wienerberger celebrates CPD success

image_00068Wall, roof and landscaping innovations provider Wienerberger says that it has seen significant interest in its CPD offering following a year of successful events.

Throughout 2016, Wienerberger has hosted two open day events held at the Ewhurst site for its popular Keymer CPD, with a third planned for later this month, while bespoke seminars have also been held for both the National Trust and Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.

The Keymer CPD is approved by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and supports architects and roofing professionals to improve their understanding of heritage roofing.

The seminar focuses on the history of clay tiles and encourages guests to consider the benefits associated with this form of roof tile, while also allowing attendees to participate in a factory tour and create their own Keymer tile when attending Ewhurst.

Through offering the Keymer CPD across the country during 2016, the brand has been introduced to architects, builders, specifiers, merchants, town planners and other roles included within the heritage sector.

The company says the huge level of interest in the CPD has led to the heritage brand hosting wider events, including a recent weekend with the National Trust, which encouraged locals to design their own tiles to be used on the roof of The Vyne Mansion in Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Christine Leadbeater, business development manager at Wienerberger, commented: “Since launching our RIBA-approved CPD earlier this year, it’s been hugely successful. Not only have our open days been strongly attended, but we’re also now offering bespoke seminars to organisations wishing to sign up.

“The fact that we’ve provided this service to The National Trust and it has led to us working alongside them on the roof of The Vyne Mansion is testament to how successful the CPD is proving. We’ve already got another open CPD planned for later this year, and a further two scheduled for March and June 2017.”
