Alutec has appointed Ben Summerhill as the new area sales manager for the South West, taking charge of the role formerly filled by Jane Phillips.
Alutec says Mr. Summerhill brings with him ten years of experience in both merchant and end user sectors, providing a solid understanding of different clients’ needs. Reporting directly to Nick Glover, head of sales and marketing at Alutec, his main responsibilities will include developing new and existing customer relationships with architects, contractors, merchants and end users in the region, and promoting the benefits of specifying Alutec’s aluminium rainwater systems.
Mr. Summerhill said:
“It’s great to be joining such a well respected company as Alutec. Having worked in in-branch sales for the past ten years, I was keen to progress to an in-the-field role and I believe with my previous experience, I can bring a unique and valuable approach that Alutec’s customers will really appreciate.”
The new appointment is in response to the retirement of Jane Phillips, who is leaving Alutec after more than eight years. Ms. Phillips commented:
“It’s been a pleasure to work for Alutec over the past eight years and I’m proud that although Alutec is a big company, it has always approached customers with a small company attitude – always willing to partner and go the extra mile.”
Nick Glover said:
“We are sad to see Jane leave us, she has been a real asset to the company and has helped to strengthen our customer relationships. Despite leaving big shoes to fill, I am confident that we have found a more than capable candidate to take on the role. Ben’s experience and character were exactly what we were looking for and I look forward to working closely with him to develop the business’s ambitious plans for the future.”
