Bracknell Roofing has appointed Howard York as its branch manager for its new office in Hunslet, Leeds.
He will be responsible for raising the profile of Bracknell Roofing across Yorkshire to ensure that it becomes one of the companies that are invited to tender for projects for both new house-building developments and refurbishment schemes for existing housing stock.
Howard brings more than 30 years’ experience in the roofing and builders’ merchant industries to the role and the company says he is full of confidence that Bracknell Roofing’s developing presence in the region will be well received.
He commented: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Bracknell Roofing, as the management team has ambitious plans for the new Leeds office – and I am confident that it can be as successful as the seven other offices that the company has around the UK, as well as its head office in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire.”
“As you’d expect, I have my sights firmly set on the region’s bigger house-builders and housing associations, but I’m also going to do my homework and make sure that Bracknell Roofing becomes the first port of call for smaller house-builders and general builders as they are the backbone of the industry because they make a massive contribution every year in meeting the demand for new housing across Yorkshire.”
Bracknell Roofing’s managing director Simon Smith added: “Bracknell Roofing has had a presence in the region for a number of years, but we have recently opened a dedicated office in Leeds. We have ambitious plans to extend the reach of our services across Yorkshire and beyond, and Howard is pivotal to that.”
