Building Supplies Online has announced the appointment of Mark Wolfe as head of buying.
Mark joins the company from Wickes Building Supplies, where he was head of category for the building materials and garden division, responsible for its sales growth and profitability. Prior to Wickes, he worked for Travis Perkins managing a series of global sourcing projects, which delivered significant cost and supply chain efficiencies.
Mark takes up a role specifically created to support Building Supplies Online’s growth plans, following its strategic partnership with Cairngorm Capital Partners last year. Working with founders Craig and Ian Baldwin, Mark will expand the scale and range of the business, implementing measures that enhance the company’s proposition, customer satisfaction, turnover and profitability.
As part of this, Mark will strengthen Building Supplies Online’s product range, working collaboratively with suppliers to add new categories and extend existing ones, for the benefit of customers and suppliers alike.
