With over 30 years’ experience in the roofing and cladding industry, Chris Duffy has joined Fixfast as national specification manager.
The company says Mr Duffy’s primary responsibility will be new business development, which involves the creation and delivery of CPDs for architects and specifiers across the UK.
He began his career in 1985 selling roofing and ventilation products to builders’ merchants and distributors for Willan Building Services before becoming technical sales manager.
The company says that since then he has built up a wealth of experience in the roofing sector, most recently as specification manager at SFS Intec – a post he held for close to 10 years.
Fixfast says this appointment is part of its wider strategy to increase its visibility in the market and establish the most efficient specification process possible. Mr Duffy will be advising specifiers as to what products should be used within certain applications and thus ensuring the longevity of a building.
Commenting on his new role, he said: “I believe in building strong business relationships and providing support to specifiers throughout all stages of the specification process. With Fixfast’s passion in helping to create successful buildings, and their collaborative commercial approach, I’ll be using my knowledge of the industry to build on Fixfast’s position in the market and ensure we offer customers the best possible products and services.”
