Actis Insulation has created the new role of national specification manager following its expansion into the volume house-building market.
Matt Rhodes, who was previously sales manager for the North West, will now work directly with some of the UK’s biggest house-builders as they begin to specify the Actis Hybrid range, which recently achieved LABC Registered Details and is also accepted by the NHBC.
The promotion follows the company’s first ever contract with a major national house-builder at the end of 2014.
Mr. Rhodes said:
“We were asked to supply Hybris and H Control Hybrid to insulate the roofs of 150 houses on a development in the North East. The fact that the Hybrid range has been NHBC-approved was obviously vital in enabling us to obtain the contract – and of course now that we have LABC Registered Details, we feel plenty more doors will be opened to us from the big players in the house-building industry.”
In addition to this promotion, Actis has also appointed a new North East sales manager. John Balance’s role will consist of working with leading merchants and insulation distributors, as well as builders and architects to continue Actis’ growth in the region over the last 12 months.
