In a move to enhance its client service, the Lakesmere Group has appointed Louise Fountain to the role of business development manager.

The company says Louise is a familiar face to many within the industry, having worked with Lakesmere for 15 years in the previous roles of sales estimator and latterly, bid manager.

Since joining the company in 2002, Louise has been involved in some of Lakesmere’s biggest contracts, including the London Aquatics Centre, Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2 and two significant Olympic legacy projects – the Stadium and Here East, both located at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.

In her new role, Lakesmere says Louise will provide a dedicated business development presence in the Lakesmere South region, helping to further strengthen relationships with its key clients and identifying opportunities for increased value, service and innovation through early engagement at the pre-tender stage.

Commenting on her new role, Louise said: “Throughout my career at Lakesmere, I have been fortunate to have worked on some of the company’s most complex and high profile contracts and having always relished the opportunity to take on new challenges, I’m excited for what lies ahead.

“I’m really looking forward to using the knowledge and expertise that I have developed over the last 15 years to help enhance Lakesmere’s client services and work towards our goal of becoming the preferred building envelope contractor in the UK.”

Louise’s new role marks the latest investment in Lakesmere’s business development team and follows the recent appointment of Jon Fearn who has taken up a similar position at Lakesmere North.

By working closely with Lakesmere’s group business development director Chris Oatridge, the team will play a key role in providing additional support and resources to clients across the country.
