The National Insulation Association (NIA) has appointed George Donaldson, managing director of Insulation Solutions Scotland, as the new chair of its Members Forum in the country.
Speaking of his new position, George said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as the new Chair and look forward to working with other NIA members here in Scotland and the NIA central team in delivering tangible support and results for our members, ensuring effective communications and engagement is key.
“It was evident from the number of members and important external stakeholders who attended our special briefing event in Edinburgh on 8th March that the NIA is extremely well supported and influential in Scotland. By working together we can make a real difference to the future of our industry and help improve energy efficiency for householders and businesses throughout Scotland.”
Neil Marshall, chief executive of the NIA, commented: “I am looking forward to working with George in developing the new business plan to support our members in Scotland and we are meeting up next week to begin work on this. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Chair of the NIA in Scotland, Wilson Shaw of BCA Insulation, for his support and hard work over the past six years.”
