Simon Hipgrave has joined Alumasc Water Management Solutions (AlumascWMS) as managing director of drainage brands Wade and Gatic.

His appointment comes as the business better positions itself to provide complete water management solutions for the industry – from rain to drain.

Of utmost importance to Simon is the desire to bring customers further into the inner workings of the company, in order to deliver the best value complete solutions driven by users – all starting with the Centre of Excellence.

The Centre of Excellence will be situated at Wade’s headquarters in Halstead, Essex, and will open in 2019. It will provide a space for contractors, architects and specifiers, to gather vital insights and question experts on the full capabilities of the AlumascWMS product range.

Commenting on his appointment, Simon said: “It’s not just a physical Centre of Excellence that we want to create, we’re looking to create extra value across all interactions with our customers.

“At Wade and Gatic we have a team that contains unapparelled knowledge and industry experience – it’s now time to bring our clients inside and allow them to tap directly into that vault of information in order to enhance their own projects and understanding.”

Simon continued: “We cannot wait to bring more of our existing and new customers into our R&D processes. That for us, is the next big step.

“For years, in many industries, siloed working has prevented solutions being shared across companies and into different markets, but not at AlumasWMS, not anymore. We will apply our full skillset to match any water management issue and I can’t wait to get started.”

Simon joins AlumascWMS from Hӧrmann UK where he was managing director of both the Garador and Hӧrmann UK brands. With over 25 years’ industry experience, Simon has built up an excellent understanding of manufacturing businesses and the UK merchant and distributor markets, which will be great assets to AlumascWMS.
