Sundolitt has expanded its management team in readiness for the opening of its new production site in Corby, Northamptonshire, due to open early 2023.

Matt Gardner joins as factory manager at the new Corby site following a varied career across aviation, formula one racing and manufacturing. Matt brings a wide range of expertise of more than 30 years in engineering and operations management from a multi-site perspective.

Heading up our sales team as commercial sales director, Charles Rhodes has a wealth of experience in the technical polymer and adhesive sector, more recently working with flexible polyurethane foam and EPS products. Charles is responsible for all commercial aspects for Sundolitt with his detailed knowledge of the UK construction and civil engineering markets.

With over 34 years’ experience in the EPS industry, David Hughes will be supporting the management team on an exclusive consultancy basis, assisting in the development the new Corby factory.

Adding around 30 years of expertise and knowledge in EPS, Sue Ballard joins as technical consultant to support the wider team to ensure the continued development of the product range and processes in line with Building Regulations.

Bringing with them a wide range of experience, the new team will support Colin Morrow, general manager at Sundolitt UK, and the rest of the team to drive the business forward at the new plant.

Colin commented: “We have brought in Matt, David, Charles and Sue to support our production, sales and technical divisions with their wealth of knowledge and expertise.

“We have a strong team built of a mixture of those with many years of experience, market knowledge and technical skills, creating a dynamic new market force into the EPS block and sheet market. Combining the new team and our state-of the art production facility in a central location, the company is fully committed to the long-term strategic development of its construction and insulation business in the UK.

“EPS production will be up and running in the New Year, but we are already able to supply XPS insulation for UK-wide distribution from the new site, with a wide range of products in stock.”
