Flex-R has appointed Brian Wright as an area sales manager after identifying Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as areas for growth opportunities.
Brian has hit the ground running for Flex-R, developing opportunities to showcase the company’s range as the right choice for flat roofing projects of all sizes.
He brings more than 20 years’ roofing industry experience and will focus on building relationships with merchants and roofing contractors to demonstrate the benefits of Flex-R’s range of products, which include RubberBond, Enduris, ClassicBond and DuoPly systems.
“Flex-R is booming, and I’m looking forward to being part of a team that has a fantastic range of products and the technical backup to support any project, from a small domestic installation to a large commercial project,” said Brian.
“Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are distinct and relatively untapped markets for Flex-R, but we are very strong when it comes to demonstrating products. This is vital to the way we plan to grow because, once seen, the quality and durability of our products speak for themselves.
“Another key to our projected success is going to be attracting more roofing contractors to become Specialist Registered Installers, which means we give them full training and ongoing support on our products. This is a huge benefit to roofers, as it enables them to secure great projects, which are often the springboard to other projects that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to tender for.”
Appointing an area sales manager for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, is another step forward for Flex-R, according to Danny Cole, Flex-R’s national sales manager. He said: “We have seen significant growth over the last two years, with the opening of a second depot in Huddersfield and the creation of new area sales manager roles to cover the UK, as well as a regional specification manager role to support architects and specifiers across the country on roofing projects.
“Brian brings two decades of roofing experience to the role and will fit in well with the team, which also includes area sales managers for the north and south of England.
