Nigel Buckley-Ryan, sales director at Södra Wood, has been appointed as Western Timber Trade Association’s (WTTA) new chairperson.
The WTTA is a regional association of the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) with around 50 active members across the UK and Belgium, including Södra Wood.
Its remit is to support its members with all the information, help and assistance they require, and its website is a hub of timber-related educational and training resources.
Commenting on his appointment, Nigel said: “All WTTA members are passionate about the timber industry and servicing our customers to the highest possible standard. The WTTA offers an invaluable platform to network with fellow members and share ideas. Each member is therefore able to take something valuable away from each meeting and improve their own business. This improvement is then paid forward to our customers, meaning it’s a win-win for the industry.
“I’m incredibly proud to be the new chairperson and I look forward to continuing the good work of Mark Wayne Probert, the outgoing chairperson, in the months and years to come.”
