Avonside Group Services will be looking to build on its shortlisting success in 2015 when it attends the UK Roofing Awards on Friday (May 15), where it has been nominated for two awards.
The building envelope contractor has been selected as a finalist in two sets of awards so far in 2015, with the first hosted by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) in April. The CIOB Committed to Excellence in the East Midlands Construction Awards 2015 celebrated the high quality work by all parts of the region’s construction industry supply chain including developers, designers, builders and end-users.
While Avonside Group did not win the award for which it was shortlisted, the company was given the Highly Commended Award, as voted for by members of the CIOB.
The company will be hoping for greater success at this week’s UK Roofing Awards – hosted by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC) – where it has been nominated for two awards: Double-Lap Tiling for the Former Barnton Hotel in Edinburgh and Liquid Roofing & Waterproofing for work with Axter on Fulham Wharf.
Over 275 entries were received for the 2015 awards, which were whittled down to just 48 finalist projects across 12 disciplines by a panel of judges. On May 15, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Hilton London Metropole, which Avonside is also sponsoring.
