Russells says that it is among a handful of organisations in the roofing sector to have transitioned and upgraded to the new ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards. The team at Russell Roof Tiles invested six months in the upgrade when reportedly, the average requirement is to have the changeover complete within three years.
Russell’s Roof Tiles are manufactured at three plants in Burton-on-Trent and in Lockerbie. The firm says that it makes a range of concrete roof tiles and fittings for leading UK house-builders, social housing and commercial projects and employs a team of 180 across its sites.
Daniel Hancox, assistant operations support manager at Russell Roof Tiles, commented: “We’ve worked hard on updating our existing ISO standards to help streamline our processes and procedures. Our achievement demonstrates that as a business we continue to make quality a priority. This is reflected in our staff who take time to focus on how they can improve products and services for our customers.”
